Paloma is a fourth generation company located in Nagoya, Japan. Privately owned Paloma Industries, Ltd. puts SAFETY first. Paloma focuses their efforts on engineering advancements that put safety before marketing. The model PH28R incorporates TWO unique safety features not found on competitive tankless gas water heaters.

First is the OXYGEN DEPLETION SENSING system (Indoor Model Only). Emissions from the sampling burner are constantly analyzed for toxic Carbon Monoxide gas. If necessary, the fan speed is adjusted by the on board cpu. If the fan speed adjustments do not resolve the combustion problem, the burner will be turned off and a potentially dangerous situation avoided. An error message will be displayed.

Second is the film type overheat sensor. Paloma alone senses high temperature at all positions surrounding the combustion chamber. Other manufacturers only sense at one point on the combustion chamber.
